The Scripture teaches “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” (Romans 5:1). Peace through God comes from knowing that you have been justified by God and being justified by God makes you a true Christian.
A true Christian acknowledges, “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Rom 3:23).” True Christians acknowledge they are sinners and that they must bring their transgressions before the Lord. True Christians believe that Christ died on the cross to grant the final atonement of their sins. True Christians believe they are fallen creatures that were once opposed to God and that their only chance of reconciliation to the Creator is through Christ alone. They believe that Christ is “the way, the truth, the life, no one goes to the Father except through Him (Jn 14:6)”.
A true Christian is one who has been justified. Justification is through faith and is received by the believing the Gospel in your the heart. The scripture says that “for it is with your heart that you believed and are justified (Rom 10:10)”. A true Christian rejoices of this justification brought by the victory of Christ in overcoming the world.
Are you a true Christian? Some have said that you will know you are a true Christian when you have a desire to help others get justified and become true Christians as well.
